Problem Definition
Why?
1. What is the business problem you hope to solve with this project? (Why would you like to create a website for your business?)
In general, our advertising and marketing strategy is very weak, as we place more focus on our personalised business operation than digital technology. With the use of a creative, outstanding website Buenos can hopefully market/advertise more effectively to our current and potentialclient base.
Who?
1. Who is your target audience? Describe your potential audience (age range, education level, interests …)
Our target audience is citizens or tourists within the Port Elizabeth region that are interested in a quality meal. It can be estimated that our target audience, based on our pricing and menu selection is middle-classed 18-60 year olds (we do encounter clients that are much older too).

What is the most important benefit you offer to your customers?We offer a unique home away from home dining experience
2. What do you offer that is different to your competition?
Buenos is a FAMILY orientated restaurant which provides its customers with a warm, intimate “comfort food” dining experience. We take an interest in every single client, and ensure that our personalised touch is felt through quirky aspects such as customer nicknames, naming certain personal dishes after customers and for example, allowing children to make their own milkshakes behind the counter. Owner, Craig Holmes, has been involved in the restaurant industry for 29 years, and therefore is not only an expert in quality food and customer service, but is well-known in the restaurant industry’s social and professional circles. Alongside the above, Buenos has its own in-house Bakery which supplies the restaurant with fresh breads, cakes, tarts, muffins, pizzas in the evenings and other delicious treats. One of the largest restaurant’s in Stanley Street, Buenos is the ideal venue for corporate functions and social events, such as birthdays and even salsa dancing on selected Sundays. As we aspire to creating a joyous environment, Craig Holmes adds a customised feel for event clients by tailoring menu-requirements,hiring photobooths and calling in local musicians.

FRESH. QUALITY. DELICIOUS. HEARTY.
4. How will your customers use your site?
What are their goals?The site may be used by current customers to check on things such as trading hours, menu’s, links to contact the restaurant etc. It can also be used to attract the attention of potential customers, to inform them.
Perception
1. What do you want to project about your organisation/business/endeavour?
That we are professional, serving quality dishes that are fresh and affordable. That we are family-orientated and enthusiastic about the personalised, home-style dining experience. Buenos supports diversity, incorporating a Mexican and Portuguese feel, and accepts and encourages clients from all walks of life.

4. List URLs of sites that you like? What do you like about these sites?
This site is pretty, easy to use, displays what is necessary and allows you to look for things that are personal. It creates the idea that it was made just for you.
Content
1. Do you have existing content for the web site or does new content need to be created? Who will write the new content?
Minimal content has been created on social media sites such asFacebook. Our Facebook Page is: Buenos Restaurant. Content will bewritten by NMMU learners, and will be obtained from Craig Holmes andother sources such as the restaurant menu.
2. Do you have any existing visuals or content to use from your currentmarketing materials (or existing web site if there is one)?
This would include images, logo, colour scheme, navigation, naming conventions.Our store logo of the Buenos Rooster and our current red, black and yellow colour scheme. Our block font should be noted too.
Technology
1. Are there any specific technologies that you would like to use in your site?
If so, please explain why you want to use them and how you expect them to enhance the user experience.No
2. Certain functionality will require a database. This includes dynamic content generation, personalisation, login. What kind of functionality and user interaction do you envisage? No
3. Is there a need for secured transactions? For example, online shopping. No
4. Are there any additional requirements that might require programming not yet mentioned?

Marketing
1. How do you expect people to find out about your site?
What triggers will prompt a visit? For example, links from other sites, incentives, using a search engine.Sociial media, word of mouth, in store-signage, placing “view our website” in menu’s and bill folders.
2. How do you plan to distribute your URL within your organization and externally, both on and off line?

3. Do you have a marketing strategy in mind to promote this project? If yes, could you describe it?
Updating
1. How do you plan to keep the content on the web site current and up-to-date?
Perhaps an external source
2. How often should the content change on your site? Which parts are constant, and which change?Monthly. It would be favourable to create a “now happening at Buenos” column on the website where we can advertise specials and inform customers on new ventures within the business. We could also elaborate on recent functions and make use of the column to congratulate customers on their achievements (such as baby arrivals, weddings, rewards at the office, sporting achievements etc).
3. Who will be responsible for updating and providing content?
If we can be taught how to do it ourselves perhaps then we would do it.
4. What software will they use to update the site?
Not sure yet.

Anything else that you can think of?
We are very excited! It is difficult to describe our restaurant in a couple of lines as we have SO much on offer, but our old school way of business is a definite stand out quality.
